Flex is looking for an Equipment Reliability Engineer for their Austin, TX location. Reporting to the Reliability Engineering Manager, as part of the site engineering team, the Equipment Reliability Engineer is responsible for Equipment Reliability Engineering across a diverse manufacturing operation. This role provides technical leadership for inputs, data structure, and reports & analysis within the Corrective Maintenance Management System (CMMS). The Equipment Reliability Engineer will work closely across functions including Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to champion projects to improve equipment availability & performance. Reliability analyses with recommendations to senior management are a key part of this role as part of continuous improvement. Strong organizational skills are required to successfully optimize the availability of the high-volume production lines.

Responsibilities:
- Coach, develop, and mentor factory maintenance and reliability technical staff
- Oversee, develop, maintain, and continuously improve the preventive maintenance program in alignment with the Quality Management System
- Provide technical leadership to create & drive solutions for reliability issues, troubleshooting, and preventive measures
- Prioritize and re-prioritize open projects as needed to support the business
- Continuously optimize the utilization of the site CMMS including reporting outputs.
- Lead root cause analysis efforts and ensure equipment reliability including predictive maintenance
- Be a positive role model and demonstrate the ability to get results through others
- Cooperatively work with other factory engineers, operations supervisors, and maintenance technicians to optimize equipment OEE.
Qualifications:
- College graduate with four-year engineering degree.
- Manufacturing maintenance experience totaling 3 to 5 years desirable.
- At least 2 years working directly with a CMMS system including configuring new assets therein.
- Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance tools and world class asset care.
- Proven track record of engineering and maintenance with the ability to apply engineering and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task under continuously changing business priorities.
- Demonstrated leadership in the deployment of reliability engineering best practices within a complex manufacturing operation
