HAAS Doors is seeking a Controls Engineer. The Controls Engineer will work within a cross-functional team supporting the automated lines on our manufacturing floor. They will also be responsible for identifying and implementing projects to improve our manufacturing processes, product quality, and other continuous improvements throughout the plant.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively supports manufacturing by troubleshooting downed equipment, identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects, and working on cross-functional teams to implement new production systems and equipment
  • Works with vendors and suppliers to identify and implement new controls equipment to improve our manufacturing systems and processes
  • Programs PLCs, HMIs, work on automated equipment with servos and robots, read and update electrical schematics, and write up project specifications
  • Serves as the technical resource for day to day operations on the manufacturing floor
  • Indirectly supervise and guide technicians, less experienced engineers, and maintenance technicians
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar position in a manufacturing environment is required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the following:
  • Programming Allen Bradley SLC 500 and Controllogix PLC’s
  • Programming Allen Bradley HMIs using FactoryTalk View ME
  • Electrical designs in AutoCAD
  • Troubleshooting electrical and PLC programming issues on manufacturing equipment
  • Working with distributed I/O systems over Ethernet/IP
Must be able to work full time
