MCEMAX Data Analysis

The biggest benefit to coming to PdMA^® Corporation for Data Analysis training is that you not only receive the course instruction, but you also have an opportunity to share with other students from other facilities. Having a large group of experienced users provides a larger knowledge base and the opportunity to learn how others may have handled the challenges you are faced with today.

Students should complete the Introduction to MCEMAX course and have at least six months experience operating the MCEMAX tester before attending a Data Analysis course. Students should come prepared to share their own success stories as well as challenges they have encountered while working with the MCEMAX.

The MCEMAX Data Analysis course begins with a refresher on the operation of the MCEMAX and a review of the fundamentals of Fault Zone Analysis. The course will then continue with a study of how faults develop in motor components and strategies for testing complex motor circuits. The class examines case studies with real-life examples demonstrating how MCEMAX testing may be used to evaluate each Fault Zone in a motor circuit, and how Demodulated Current Signature Analysis may be used to monitor mechanical components being driven by the motor.

Vibration Institute --- BMV prepares attendees to perform basic vibration analysis on industrial machinery using single-channel measurements, with or without trigger signals, according to established and recognized procedures. It covers basics of sensors, database and data collector setup, data collection, signal processing, fault analysis, and basics of single plane balancing. It is partial preparation for the Vibration Analyst Category II Certification Exam. The workshops and demonstrations scheduled throughout the training course are used to illustrate theory and applications.

BRM - Balancing of Rotating Machinery
