Below are our publishing guidelines to help you understand what we are looking for in articles and how to submit your work for consideration. 

Topic

Please ensure the topic you choose to cover will add some value to the website and readers will find the article engaging. We hesitate to publish articles that are strictly promotional or biased in nature. We welcome articles on a wide range of topics related to maintenance, engineering, and reliability, including but not limited to:

Asset Management

Life Cycle Cost

Preventive Maintenance

Condition Monitoring

Corrective Maintenance and Repairs

Lubrication

Root Cause

Engineering

Equipment Knowledge

Maintenance Management

Facility Maintenance

Materials & Spare Parts Management

CMMS/Tech Database

Inventory Management

Operations & Maintenance

Planning & Scheduling

Safety

Format

Articles should be between 500 and 2,000 words. 

If an article is considerably lengthy consider submitting as a series (up to 5 part series are accepted), and breaking the content down into smaller sections. 

Please write in a clear, concise, and engaging manner. Use headings and subheadings to break up the text and make it easier to read. 

Please submit all articles in a microsoft word document. Attach images separately as PNG files.

Attribution

If you use any quotes or information from other sources, be sure to properly attribute them with in-text citations and a list of references at the end of the article.

Images

Please include at least two relevant images in your articles and ensure you have the rights to use any images you include, including proper attribution if necessary. Attach these images as PNG files.

Originality

We only accept original, unpublished content. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. Articles will be run through AI detection software, please make sure the content is human generated! This is a community for maintenance and reliability professionals to share their expertise.

Editing 

MaintenaceWorld.com reserves the right to edit any article submitted to improve clarity, style, and search engine optimization. Prior to publication on our website we will ensure the final version has been approved by the author. Edits may also be made in the weeks, months, and years following publication to enhance SEO and clarity.

Author 

Our authors are the core of our website and because of their wonderful contributions we are able to provide readers with valuable information. We want to make sure to properly recognize each and every author. Please include a headshot, and short biography (3-5 sentences) that describes the author’s work experience, credibility, and accomplishments.
