Garlock Sealing Technologies produces fluid sealing products for a variety of industries including: petrochemical, chemical processing, pulp and paper, electronics, mining, food and pharmaceutical, and original equipment manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
The manufacturing engineer will:- support daily production demand
- resolve manufacturing problems
- troubleshoot machines
- develop and maintain manufacturing process control methods
- promote safety
- work with plant engineering and maintenance to define a PM program from new and existing equipment
- assist maintenance in solving equipment problems
- support and lead a continuous improvement plan
- interact with all levels of personnel (operators, engineers, managers, suppliers, customers, sales, etc.)
- conduct studies and analysis of manufacturing operations as well as equipment, material, manpower, and methods
- develop and recommend improved layouts for manufacturing operations and storage areas
Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related)
- project management skills relating to process improvement projects and capital equipment installations
- organization skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects
